Youth implement small projects to solve their community problems

The Center for Citizenship Education NGO, an implementing partner of All for YOUth, YOUth for all project has organized a small project competition among the youth-led NGOs to support youth actions in the provinces and cities, empower newly established youth networks, and increase meaningful local youth participation.

6 proposals out of the 11 projects submitted for the project competition from Dornogovi, Selenge, Khentii, Bayankhongor and Ulaanbaatar were selected. These initiatives will provide an opportunity for local community to see and analyse the local government’s policies and programs on youth development, improve its implementation, and bring positive change to local communities.

"As a result of the implementation of the "Provincial sub-program for ensuring gender equality" monitoring project that is initiated by Goviin Khukh Salkhi NGO, gender equality should be prioritized in all policies implemented at the local level, and the different needs of men and women should be taken into account and reflected in the policy. Also, the local public's knowledge and understanding of stereotypes that have a negative impact on gender equality will be changed, and gender-sensitive attitudes will be disseminated by through a gender awareness training" says Battsetseg.B, a member of the selected project and an employee of Goviin Khukh Salkhi NGO in Dornogovi province.

"Through the implementation of our project, I have learnt that government some policies and regulations for young people; however, information about these programs and policies could not reach the young generation. In the other words, it is also a problem that government organizations do not report and disseminate information in an accessible, transparent, and innovative way for their target audiences. Therefore, I believe that it is necessary to come up with a solution for the implementation of the government policies and projects on a wider scale through disseminating information to the youth in an innovative way, to launch an impactful campaign, to conduct discussion training, to hold a discussion between the government organizations working for youth development and the young people, and to unite our understanding in terms of partnership with state organization and young people" says Chinzorig.G a member of the selected project and member of KASPEC 2022 graduates.
