Caritas Czech Republic will launch new project

The European Union supports Mongolia in responding to pressing human rights issues throughout the country. Five new project will address violence against children, women’s participation in decision – making in agriculture, empowering youth and assistant herders. All this project will contribute to the protection and promotion of human rights in Mongolia.  

The European Union Delegation to Mongolia awarded 5 new projects grant to the Cartias Czech Repubilic INGO, the National Human Rights Commission of Mongolia, AVSF, Mongol Ecology Center and World Vision International. The five new projects that were launched today are addressing the most pressing issues in Mongolia: empowering youth and assistant herders; ending sexual violence against children; and engendering rural economic development through women's participation in decision-making in agriculture sector.

The European Instrument for Democracy and Human rights and the Civil Society Organizations and Local Authorities Programme are the core of the EU targeted thematic action on promoting human rights, good governance, democracy, and on fostering an enabling environment for civil society worldwide.
