Caritas Czech Republic (CCR) organized Decision makers’ seminar, gathering representatives from all stakeholders of Construction Development Waste (CDW) sector in Mongolia. During the seminar CCR gave them information on update and future activities of the project, aggregates from CDW and its usage in concrete and Technical requirements for recycled from CD waste. Participants and project team had open discussion on the draft of the CDW management procedure.
There were 39 representatives from state organizations, public universities, construction material producers, demolishing companies, professional associations, ministries, MASM and project partners. We had 3 presentations during the event, about the project current status and future plans, aggregates from CDW and its usage in concrete and Technical requirements for recycled from CD waste by representatives from CCR, MUST and MASM. Then, participants were divided into 5 groups and had discussion on the draft procedure from Working group and shared their comment. Discussion was very active and CCR has successfully collected over 30 comments and suggestions to add or revised the current draft. Moreover, current recycled products from CDW are presented during the seminar. Working group and CCR took note of the suggestions and comments from the participants and delivered it to the Working group to further reflect it into the draft procedure. Next decision maker seminar will took place again in spring, involving same and more participants from the sector, especially from state organizations to enforce approval and implementation of the procedure.
