On August 25, on the occasion of Mongolian Youth Day, the Mongolian youth council organized the Sixth Youth Civil Society Forum under the project “All for YOUth, YOUth for all” funded by the European Union. This forum differs in the fact that it was held using both online platforms and auditorium (on the topic “Let’s pay heed to our youth: The pandemic in our lives”) under the auspices of the UNFPA.
The forum was opened by Pierre-Yves LUCAS, Head of the EU Delegation to Mongolia, Koari Ishikawa, Head of Office for UNFPA Mongolia, and E.Sereeter, coordinator of the Mongolian Youth Council. The forum was attended by 70 participants including youth representations, government and international organizations, NGOs, that work in the areas: youth development and social participation, and youth from civil society organizations, and reached more than 10,000 people online via Facebook live and Zoom platforms.
The Sixth Youth Civil Society Forum held a panel discussion on "Health", "Education", "Employment", and Civic Space-Youth Participation, and developed recommendations on issues, solutions, future cooperation, and how to operate as planned during the pandemic.
The “All for Youth, Youth for All” project, which aims to enhance CSOs’ capacities to contribute to governance and development process in Mongolia through capacity building, networking, advocacy and research, is being implemented between 2020-2024 under the financial support by the European Union.
