Аll for YOUth, YOUth for all project works with community leaders to improve conditions for young people

SUKHBAATAR, Selenge (November 3, 2022) - “All for YOUth, YOUth for all” project team held seminars for local government officials and key community members working with the youth of Sukhbaatar. These seminars, facilitated by the Center for Citizenship Education, are a setting where new approaches can be shared with each other, so we all deliver the highest quality activities for our future generation. The seminars are made possible thanks to funding from the European Union, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, and the Australian Volunteer Program.

In Sukhbaatar, 20 participants came together for two days to share problems, and as a team developed new strategies to improve life for young people. This follows from other seminars that “All for YOUth, YOUth for all” has delivered in Dornogobi, Bayankhongor, Khentii, and Ulaanbaatar.

“I have understood that it is crucial to collaborate between Government and Non-Governmental organizations through this seminar. Moreover, I  have learned how to write a great project proposal and develop plans in easy steps using sample outlines, formats, and templates” said Ankhtuya, one of the participants in the seminar, and a senior specialist in Family, child, and youth development.

Sukhbaatar is graced with many community leaders determined to ensure young people have all the opportunities they deserve. These dedicated community members envision a life in the countryside that gives young people the chance to thrive, to love the place they are.

I am glad that I have learned a lot of things including how important youth participation is and how to support youth involvement based on Australian best practices. Furthermore, I gain knowledge of how to influence decision-makers when we try to solve social problemssaid Batzaya, one of the participants in the seminar, and a training manager in secondary school number five of Sukhbaatar soum.
