Caritas Czech Republic's European Union funded "All for YOUth, YOUth for All" project has announced a creative photo contest "Reflection" among youth, aged between 15-34.
The competition showcased the problems faced by young people, such as unemployment, policy regulation that is not favorable to young people, lack of voice of young people reaching the policy level, quality of education, lack of accessibility for people with disabilities, mental health, difficulties faced by minorities in Mongolia. We received 72 submissions in total.
To the the second round, 30 pictures were selected and exhibited during the Ninth National Youth Development Forum held at the Parliament Palace on August 25th, and the forums participants voted for their favourite photo.
Bayarmagnai B won 5th place of the contest with his photo 'Difficult Stairs'. Dulamsuren S won 4th place with her photo 'There's no light in society when there is corruption'. And Ganbat U secured the third place with his submission 'Inaccessible city for children', whereas Enkh-Amar B took the runner-up's position with his photo 'The last stop of generation Z'. Since Tugsbileg O's 'Don't want to emigrate' picture has moved the hearts of many, he was announced the winner.
The Ambassador of the European Union to Mongolia, H.E. Ms Axelle Nicaise, met the young photographers and discussed the history and meaning of their work during the presentation ceremony. She said she was moved by the strong images depicted in the photos.
