Government’s promise and Youth’s work place

Within the framework of "All For YOUth, YOUth for ALL", a project funded by the European Union, the “Shizumon Sustainable Development Society” has implemented a two-month monitoring of how the government promises actually helped young people by engaging in research and organising meetings for job seekers in Bayankhongor province.

For the participants of the study, a focused interview on the workplace issues facing young people included representations of citizens of the 2-8th bag in Bayankhongor province.

While the meetings aim to indicate the issues that job applicants face, we presented the Governor of the Bayankhongor’s commitments aimed at increasing youth employment. The outcome of the meetings were included in the arrangement plans for 2020-2024.

The participants of the research are mostly naming the issues facing them in working in governmental organisations and the private sector.

The result of the project:

Requests from unemployed young people have been handed down to the mayor.

The Bayankhogor city’s youth of working age have been provided with training and information on the subject of “Government’s promise and Youth’s work place”  in the framework of the “All for YOUth, YOUth for All'', a project funded by the European Union.

The complaints and violations about the workplace of the youth who have participated in the research,  have been presented to the Governor of Bayankhongor province, G.Enkhbayar, with the “Youth Employment Solutions” being handed over.

The conclusion of the research was discussed in the Governor's council and it is expressed to work on relevant issues.

By implementing this project, the following skills and lessons were grown for the project team.

We have learned a lot about labour-related monitoring, such as implementing small projects and preparing financial and operational reports. Members of the organization said they saw the importance of teamwork skills and team equitable allocation of work, engaging in research and conversations with citizens, and having frequent face-to-face meetings with high-level decision-making officials to listen to their citizens.
