The Three King's moneyboxes unsealed – 80 million collected. Thank you!

The donations from the Three King's moneyboxes have been counted and its total amount reached 52,3 million. The online carolling on the website of the collection brought another almost 24 million and over 4 million came through generous donor DMS. In total, this year’s Three Kings Collection brought almost 80,3 million for those in need. The carolling is not over yet. You can support the collection online or by DMS until the end of April.

One of the strongest commitments of our organization is ensuring that all participants of our programs – including children, vulnerable adults, and disabled people – are protected from abuse and exploitation. The environment in which we operate is extremely prone to abuse and exploitation as a consequence of power imbalance or violence. Such risks are heightened, in particular, during humanitarian crisis. At Caritas Czech Republic we have rigorous systems in place to make sure that everyone we work with is safe from any harm.

Life on a mission during the COVID-19 pandemic: What is it like in Mongolia?

COVID-19 has been a part of our lives for almost a year. Would you like to know how life on Caritas Czech Republic's country offices has changed? For example Mongolia did not have any local transmission of the COVID-19 disease until November. However, the country has already put in restrictions in the beginning of last year. How did the pandemic affect our work? How did we help people who were hit hard by the crisis? Jana Žilková, our country director in Mongolia, will tell us more about it.

Caritas Internationalis urgently calls for access to COVID-19 vaccines for the developing countries

Caritas Internationalis, of which Caritas Czech Republic is a member, calls in a recent statement on the UN and the decisions makers to urgently address the developing countries’ approach to coronavirus vaccine. According to Caritas Internationalis, the access to vaccines across the world has not been as equitable as it should be.
