Caritas Czech Republic Celebrates Four Years of Transformative Impact on Mongolian Civil Society

Last Friday marked the conclusion of a four-year project aimed at elevating Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Mongolia. The closing ceremony of the ‘All for YOUth, YOUth for All’ project that has been implemented by Caritas Czech Republic, Center for Citizenship Education, and Mongolian Youth Council serves as a testament to the journey of growth, empowerment, and lasting change that has unfolded over the past four years.

The project has been instrumental in ushering positive change in Mongolian communities. Here are the key highlights of the journey:

Building Capacities and Empowering Youth:

Over 600 local CSO representatives engaged in four rounds of capacity-building trainings.

A robust youth CSO network, comprising 2366 members, has been established.

18 CSO representatives embarked on enriching study tours in Europe, leading to tangible policy changes.

Fostering Youth Participation:

Numerous competitions and media campaigns among young people expressed their creativity and knowledge, fostering active youth participation.

Annual Youth Civil Society Forums for four consecutive years connected thousands of young people with government, civil society, and the private sector, amplifying youth voices.

Fostering Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship:

A business competition, backed by a budget of 44.5 million MNT, successfully generated employment opportunities for Mongolian youth.

A crowdfunding event facilitated six social enterprises in raising a total sum of 21 million MNT and 344 USD.

The closing ceremony will be a moment of reflection, celebration, and acknowledgment of the collective efforts that have left an indelible mark on Mongolian civil society.
