We help where we are needed. We provide immediate humanitarian aid to people affected by war or natural disaster. As part of our development cooperation, we help people to cut loose and make a living. We focus on the development of health care and social protection as well as  rural development and environmental protection and actively work on systemic changes in Mongolia.

Small support for green environment

Plastic has become an essential aspect of our lives. However, the growth in the usage of plastics is a major contributor to environmental degradation in Mongolia. Thus, Caritas Czech Republic in Mongolia (CCR) is helping to reduce the harmful effects of plastic on the environment and support micro, small and medium entrepreneurs in the recycling sector under the Sustainable Plastic Recycling in Mongolia project that is funded by the European Union, EU SWITCH-Asia programme and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

Caritas Czech Republic launches an appeal for Afghanistan

Afghanistan has long been facing conflicts, the effects of climate change and poverty. The recent takeover of the country by the Taliban will inevitably deepen the humanitarian crisis and significantly worsen the security situation in the country. A large number of Afghans have no choice but to flee the country and seek a safer place to live. A significant increase in the number of refugees in the surrounding states is expected. In response to the situation, Caritas Czech Republic is launching the appeal Caritas Czech Republic for Afghanistan to help refugees in neighbouring countries.

Young Mongolians share what they learned from volunteering

The Caritas Czech Republic in Mongolia is working to improve youth participation under the “All for YOUth, YOUth for all” project funded by the European Union. In the framework of the project, we are organizing an “iVolunteer” media campaign to advertise the benefits of volunteerism. How does volunteering impact young people and what changes does it bring to their life and view of life? Young Mongolians who are influencing their community while developing and rediscovering themselves by volunteering and helping people have shared their stories with us to support the iVolunteer media campaign.

Mongolia is flooded with plastics. How does Caritas help get rid of it?

Mongolia – beautiful and unique nature, huge grasslands, nomads and typical yurts. Lately, there have also been unfortunately another words to describe the country – quick devastation of the environment. Mongolia is starting to get flooded with trash and the situation is the worst especially in the famous grasslands.
